About Us

What is Centro de Niños

Centro de Niños y Padres, a center for children and families, provides early home and school intervention for children from birth to three years of age and their families.  The program serves children who have been identified as having developmental disabilities and children who are at risk.  Key to Centro’s concerns are the need of culturally diverse and multilingual families.

Children may receive services in a home-based program or a combined home and center program located in King Hall at California State University of Los Angeles.  These services further the overall development of the child while supporting the integrity of the family. An individual plan is developed for each child and family to address their specific needs.  These goals are achieved by working in a family centered, multidisciplinary team model.  Parents are respected as the ultimate experts and decision makers about their children.
